Status of mental health

Mental health is referred to intellectual, social and emotional well-being. It often receives the least focus amongst health conditions. The most common types of mental illness include anxiety disorders (panic disorders, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), Post-traumatic stress (PTS)), mood disorders (major depression, bipolar disorders) and schizophrenia disorders (delusions, thought disorders, hallucinations, withdrawal). Mental illnesses may develop due to the loss of loved ones, underlying health problems, such as cancer, diabetes, HIV, chronic pain and adverse economic problems such as poverty.
